Saat ini saya masih bekerja di salah satu developer perumahan yang ada di Jakarta, dan perlu saya jelaskan juga sebelumnya saya pernah terlibat atau berkecimpung di dunia MLM kurang lebih 4 tahun, yang saya suka dari MLM ini terus trang adalah pendidikannya. MLM ini telah banyak merubah saya yan tadinya kuper sekarang sudah lbih berani untuk bergaul dan lebih flexsibel menghadapi kehidupan ini.

Namun sangat disayangkan 4 tahun perjalanan saya di MLM saya masih kurang berhasil, dan boleh dikatakan saya gagal total, bahkan sampai saya tidak punya uang sepeserpun, sampai akhirnya saya di tarik bekerja oleh saudara saya di Developer perumahan, alhandulilah kurang dari 2 thun kami berhasil menjual perumahan sekitar 150 unit rumah samapai saat ini. Dan saya merasa ini adalah sebuah keberhasil yang signifikan buat saya. Dan saya mulai merasa hidup kembali.

Sekitar 3 bulan yang lalu saya ketemu kembali salah satu rekan saya di bandung, dan dia menawarkan Speedline, dia menjelaskan speedline ini perpaduan antara MLM dan investasi. Karena saya sudah merasa muak dengan MLM, saya ledek temen saya tersebut kurang lebih 2 bulan dan saya jujur sudah bebnar-benar anti MLM.

Suatu hari sya iseng-iseng buka di internet tentang Speedline ini, singkat cerita saya tertarik dan akhirnya gabung, awalnya sih cman gabung di kelas silver, samabil mencari informasi lebih lengkap tentang Speedline. Jujur yang saya hawatirkan adalah speedline ini Scam. Akhirnya saya berspekulasi untuk gadung di kelas Diamon sekitar Rp. 7.500.000.

Jujur selama satu bulan ini perasaan saya dihinggapi ketidak pastian, karena takut uang Rp.7.500.000. melayang begitu saja karena scam. Memang tiap hari saya dapet sekitar Rp.195.000 perhari.

Akhirnya setelah melewati kurang lebih 1 bulan stengah apa yang saya khawatirkan itu ternyata tidak terbukti, dan barusan saya narik uang sekitar Rp.7.500.000 (kembali modal). dan saya masih terus dapet Rp.195.000 setiap hari sampai kontrak saya 100 hari, artinya investasi saya dari Rp.7.500.000 menjadi 22.500.000. dalam 100 hari.

Jujur saya katakan saya tidak merasa ada jaminan di sini, tapi di sini perlu sebuah keberanian berinvestasi, apakah kita akan dapet Uang 3x lipat, atau akan selalu dihantui terus oleh rasa takut........

Many anxiety sufferers fear disturbing dreams because they feel out of control and have the mistaken idea that these events will happen in real life.
However, dreams are not to be taken literally. If you dream that you do something violent, it does not mean that this action will occur in reality. Dreams are the unconscious mind's way of helping us to process issues and events of the day.
They can be a useful tool in helping us achieve personal growth. One useful way to interpret a dream is metaphorically, which means that you look at the general meaning or symbolism of the dream events.
Even though it is not a normal daytime experience, death and slaying in dreams is common. Dream interpreters suggest that we approach these dreams of death and slaying symbolically.

In Leadership, Dreams Are The Stuff That Great Results Are Made Of by: Brent Filson

Leadership is motivational or it's stumbling in the dark. The best leaders don't order people to do a job, the best leaders motivate people to want to do the job.
The trouble is the vast majority of leaders don't delve into the deep aspects of human motivation and so are unable to motivate people effectively.
Drill down through goals and aims and aspirations and ambitions and you hit the bedrock of motivation, the dream. Many leaders fail to take it into account.
Dreams are not goals and aims. Goals are the results toward which efforts are directed. The realization of a dream might contain goals, which can be stepping stones on the way to the attaining dreams. But the attainment of a goal does not necessarily result in the attainment of a dream.
For instance, Martin Luther King did not say, "I have a goal." Or "I have an aim." The power of that speech was in the "I have a dream".
Dreams are not aspirations and ambitions. Aspirations and ambitions are strong desires to achieve something. King didn't say he had an aspiration or ambition that " ....one day this nation will rise up and live out the true meaning of its creed: ‘We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal.'" He said he had a dream.
If you are a leader speaking to people's aspirations and ambitions, you are speaking to something that motivates them, yes; but you are not necessarily tapping into the heartwood of their motivation.
After all, one might aspire or be ambitious to achieve a dream. But one's aspiration and ambition may also be connected to things of lesser importance than a dream.
A dream embraces our most cherished longings. It embodies our very identity. We often won't feel fulfilled as human beings until we realize our dreams.
If leaders are avoiding people's dreams, if leaders are simply setting goals (as important as goals are), they miss the best of opportunities to help those people take ardent action to achieve great results.
When Thomas Jefferson wrote in the Declaration of Independence that "Governments derive their just powers from the consent of the governed," he was writing about a dream. Not one European government at that time was a democracy. There had been few true democracies in the West since the fall of the Athenian democracy more than 2,000 thousand years before. But Jefferson's "dream" motivated people to take action. In fact, that dream motivates people to act around the world today.
Understand the dreams of the people you lead. People will not tell you what they dream until they trust you. They won't trust you until they feel that you can help them attain their dreams. Acquiring that understanding can cement a deep, emotional bond between you.
Dreams are not fantasies. Going to the mountain may be a dream. Standing on the mountain may be a dream. On the other hand, having the mountain come to us is a fantasy. Dreams can be realized, fantasies can't. Focus on dreams, on what is objectively achievable, not on fantasies.
Dreams are positive, uplifting. The Old English word "dream" means "joy, music, and noise-making." But that positive, inspirational quality can have negative effects on an organization.
Negative dreams can damage an organization. For instance, union/management issues are often particularly inflammatory because of conflicting dreams, of both sides seeing the other as "the enemy." Your audience wanting to go back to the "good old days" can be a negative dream. Only a trusted leader can help people reshape their dreams.
Most people have a dream for their life and work. Even people in abject circumstances, such as prisons and concentration camps, dream of a fulfilling existence beyond their present circumstances. If they lose their dreams, they lose an essential quality of their humanity.
People won't be transformed by your leadership if you have a low opinion of and low expectations for their dream and/or if they are convinced that you can't help them attain that dream.
Many people don't consciously realize what they dream. But that doesn't mean that they are not influenced by their subconscious dream. A subconscious dream can motivate people to act without their clearly understanding why they are acting. Have the people you lead be fully conscious of the content and meaning of their dream or risk having your organization's activities be impeded by a dimly perceived yet none-the-less potent dream.
Each dream has a price. It's one thing to think it. It's another thing to do it. Know the price people will have to pay to attain their dream. Have them understand the price.
As a leader, dream with the people! Without hitching our wagons to stars, the wagons and the stars lose their true meaning in our lives.
Dreams give meaning to emotion and purpose to action. People who believe they're living their dream see their jobs as part of a higher cause and will work accordingly. Conversely, people who see their jobs as antithetical to their dream, may see that work as oppressive; and they too will work accordingly.
Dreams are supreme reality. Dream graffiti on a Paris wall during the 1968 student rebellion said, "Be realistic: Do the impossible!"

Are you pursuing a dream that you are passionate about? Do you have a dream that you have sat on for years and have not taken action on it? Do you even know what your dreams are?

Dreams are actually part of our guidance system in life. They give us clues and a road map for what roads we should be traveling. So if you feel unclear or confused about your dreams you have lost touch with your “dreaming” self. Your dreaming self is that part of you that is connected with all of the possibilities in life. It is the part of you that truly believes in the magic and joy of living. It is the part of you that will guide you to the sweetest happiness and fulfillment you could ever imagine. So often people get disconnected from their dreaming self at a very young age by parents who stopped connecting with their own dreaming selves.

When I work with clients, part of the healing process is to re- connect with their dreaming self. The part of them that has expansive dreams. Very often they believe this part of them is not even there anymore -that it is lost and they never can retrieve this part of them. The good news is that this part of them never goes away—it is just buried under the limiting beliefs of their conditioning and fears. It may take a bit of time, but they can re-connect with this dreaming part of themselves and then start to listen to this voice.

You may be in that same position of being disconnected from your dreaming self too. If that is the case I will give you some tips to help you make this connection. Others of you may have some clarity about your dreams, but you have not taken action to pursue your dreams—I will address how to get beyond this too.

Tips to Reconnect with your Dreams

Let Go of Your Critical Thinking- To hear the voice of your dreams you first must quiet the critical voice inside. If you think of what it is like to share a dream with a friend and they shoot it down with criticism. How likely are you going to share your dreams with that person again? Not very likely. It is the same way with your internal voice of criticism. If you bring a dream into your own mind and right away you find ways it won’t work or judge it as a stupid idea—the voice of your dreaming self will grow silent and pretty soon you have stopped dreaming. Open up to being loving and supportive of your dreams. This will create a safe environment for your dreams to come forward and be voiced inside of you.

Make a list of 100 things you would like to Do, Be or Have- This may be a bit of a challenge to start this, but as you work on this list you will be taking the heavy lid off your dreaming self and it will begin to speak to you---and you will be able to add things to the list. By starting the list you are priming the pump for more ideas to come through. Here are some examples of things you may have on your list: travel to Hawaii, learn to salsa dance, learn to paint in watercolors, go on a weekend camping trip alone, take a family trip to the Grand Canyon, start your own business, be more adventurous etc.

Notice When You Like What Someone Else is Doing- Sometimes our dreams are brought forward because we see someone else living them. This can sometimes come out in a statement like “Oh, I wish I could do that”. For example if you have a friend who travels a lot and you love to hear the stories of her adventures—this may be a dream of yours that you should take action on. Pay attention to when you feel this way –this can give you clues to your own dreams. What do you see other people doing that you would LOVE to do?

Forget about the “How” When You Are Dreaming- You may disregard your dream because you can’t see how this dream could ever happen. You may say “I could never quit my job and do this thing I love—I can’t see how it can happen.” The most important thing is to identify the dream and decide if this is the dream you want to pursue. I have seen over and over that once people decide and commit---and move forward in action towards their dreams—the pieces of the puzzle of the “How” fall into place. You will not experience this if you hang back and try to figure it out in your head “how” to do it before you will decide if you will do it. The ideas, inspiration and the “how” come to you after you decide and commit.

Go somewhere Special and Inspirational to Contemplate Your Dreams- Take time from your busy schedule to reflect on your dreams. Sometimes people are so busy with their day to day lives that they don’t have the time to reflect on their lives. You need time and space to drop down into your feeling self—that is where the dreaming part of you lives. Find a café or other inspirational place to go and reflect. Write at the topic of the page “If I could do anything I would……..”—and just let your mind drift and write down the ideas that come to you. And remember like I mentioned above to quiet your critical voice while you are doing this.

Decide You Will Love Yourself Enough to Honor Your Dreams- It is an act of self- love to listen to the voice of your dreams and to pursue these special dreams. Just like you want the people in your own life that you love so dearly to be happy and to pursue their dreams—love yourself in that same way and listen to your own dreams. The level of happiness you feel in your life is directly related to how well you are listening to your dreaming self—and taking these dreams seriously.

If You Are Not Pursuing Your Dreams or are Confused about Your Dreams—What Are You Afraid Of?- If you have been stalled on pursuing your dream, know that there are some fears that are holding you back—some of these are conscious and some of these are unconscious. If they are conscious fears that you are aware of—write them down. Look at what you wrote from the highest part of you—the part of you filled with faith and trust. From this perspective write a response back to this fear. An example of a fear could be “I could never make money at doing a job that I love—I have to just stay stuck where I am at—besides things are so unstable with the economy right now I can’t take any risks.” Your answer back could be “Yes you can make money at doing a job you love—it just takes time, effort and persistence. Trust that as we pursue what we love we will be supported on every level. We can take steps now to move in that direction and trust that the right opportunity will open up for us. We actually will be in a better position with the economy if we move in a direction of doing what we love rather than staying stuck out of fear.” Some of your fears may be more unconscious. To address these unconscious fears ask yourself on a piece of paper. “You aren’t taking any steps towards your dreams—why are you so afraid?” Close your eyes and just listen in to what thoughts pop into your head—or the feeling you feel in your body. Write the response down and do the same thing as I listed above—which is to write a response to this fear from the highest part of you.

Get Support- Out of everything I have listed above this is the most important tip of all. Get support from believe who believe in you and the beauty of your own dreams. In my last Life Purpose Mentoring Group some of the people had these dreams in their hearts for years, but never took action to pursue them. With the support of the program they made more progress in 3 months than they did in 10 years of sitting on their dream. Others were able to step out of the confusion of going around and around again about trying to figure out their Life Purpose and were finally able to get the clarity they needed to move forward. It was amazing—it was like seeing a group of people become alive again after years of holding themselves back and not fully living. The power of positive, inspirational support is a key element in moving beyond your fears into the joy of living your dreams.

Begin today to re-connect with your dreaming self and listen to its beautiful wisdom. Allow this wisdom to guide you to a life that is filled with joy and possibility!

When I first starting telling people that we were going to move to Germany, I had no idea how we were going to do it. We didn't have the money to pay for the move, we didn't know anybody in Germany and I had no idea how I was going to find work. It seemed like it was an impossible dream, but I did have one thing going for me, I had faith.

It's like one of my favorite stories from the Bible, the story of David and Goliath. When David told everyone that he was going to be able to defeat Goliath, he had no idea how he was going to do it. He was just a shepherd boy and Goliath was a warrior. The odds were against him and it seemed like an impossible task. But David did have one thing going for him, he had faith.

If having faith is all that it takes to make the impossible possible, to make seemingly unreachable dreams a reality, and to turn certain defeat into victory, the question is: what is faith?

For many years I could quote the definition of faith found in Hebrews 11:1. It says, "Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen." But I really didn't understand it until I was able to put it into a simple formula that says:

Desire + Expectation + Action = Faith.

In the formula desire is simply what we want. It's what the verse in Hebrews calls the things we hope for. The expectation part of the formula is what we really believe about what we want. The Bible calls it substance. It's the intangible sense that we can have what we want, even if we're not sure how it will happen. The last part of the formula is action. It's what we do today that is the evidence, or the proof, of what we expect.

When I apply this formula to David's battle with Goliath, David's desire was to defeat Goliath. His expectation was that, God was going to help him kill Goliath just like He had helped him kill a lion and a bear that had attacked his sheep. The actions that he took were to get a clear picture in his mind of Goliath lying dead on the ground. Because David believed he could defeat Goliath, he soon found a way to use the skills he had with a shepherd's sling to kill the giant with a single shot.

For our move to Germany, my desire was to live and work in Germany. My expectation was that God would work out all the details, even though I couldn't see how it was possible. Then we took action. We bought a map of Germany and put it on the wall of our dining room where it served to constantly remind us of our dream. We also started preparing for living in Germany by studying the language, meeting with an elderly German woman who lived near us, and listening to German music.

What is your dream? And how is your faith?

Start by looking at your desires. And by that I don't mean the kind of desires that a three year old would have when going through a toy store where all the bright colored packages would catch his attention and he'd say, "Oh! I want that, and that, and that." By desire I mean that kind of deep desires you have in your heart that are the things you really want to accomplish in your life.

Then take a look at your expectation. What do you really believe about fulfilling that desire and reaching your dream? Do you believe that you have to have all the answers first? David didn't. And, like David, all I knew was that impossible dreams can come true as long as we're willing to believe that they can.

And how about your actions? Do you have a clear picture in your mind, and maybe a "map on the wall" or some photos of your dream that you can use to remind you of your dream? Are there things that you can do today that will help you prepare for the day when your dream becomes a reality?

Whatever those actions may be, take one today and then another tomorrow, and keep doing that day after day. And whenever you begin to feel fear or doubt, look at the picture of your dream, imagine how good it will feel to be living that dream, and your faith will help you reach it.

It took three-and-a-half years of prayer and preparation before we moved to Germany, and I wouldn't trade that experience for anything. The sheer joy of seeing a dream come true was incredible. We spent almost ten years living and working in different parts of Germany and we were able to move to the former communist East Germany shortly after the wall fell. We have friends and memories that will last us a lifetime.

For David, the battle with Goliath was a major step toward reaching his dream of becoming king. After he burst on the scene with his victory over Goliath, there was still a lot of time and preparation that needed to happen before he became king. But his faith kept him strong and he was able to become one of the greatest kings the nation of Israel ever had.

What will reaching your dreams mean to you? How will it feel when you accomplish something that you've longed for most of your life? Just have a little faith and you'll soon find out.

It Came To Me In A Dream by: Steve Gillman

It came to me in a dream. I was explaining the "add-subtract-change" problem solving technique to somebody. I had never heard of it before, but while awake I had been working on a book about problem solving. This new technique turned out to be a very useful technique when I tried it. It is an idea that has undoubtedly been thought of by others, but it was unknown to me until that moment.

I have had this happen before. I have had story ideas come to me in a dream, and solutions to problems. When I was younger, I even invented a way to sail my sled on the Lake Michigan ice in my dream. I tried it and it worked.

Maybe you have solved problems and had new ideas in your dreams as well. There is no doubt that it can happen, but how do we make it more likely, and more common? Try the following.

Getting Ideas In A Dream

- Think about it a lot. If a period of intense mental work on a problem precedes sleep, the subconscious mind has been "instructed" that this is important, and will continue to work on the problem during sleep.

- Write the problem down, and what qualities the solution may have, just before going to sleep.

- Practice with simple problems. See if you can get yourself to imagine a new kind of furniture, or a new poem in a dream.

- Keep paper and pen by the side of the bed. Write down any ideas you have when you wake up. The process encourages your mind to have even more ideas. A tape recorder is even better, because you can use it without a light and quickly go back to sleep.

- If you wake up without an alarm, you are more likely to remember your dreams. If you need an alarm for work, try problem solving in dreams over the weekend.

- As soon as you wake up, quickly review any dreams you can recall. This "sets" them in your mind before you can forget them. Then you can think back on them later, to see if there is anything useful there.

- If you don't need sound sleep, try sleeping on the floor or in another slightly uncomfortable way. The repeated waking up and going back to sleep gives you more opportunities to remember dreams. I took notes on nine dreams one night in this way, and had two good ideas from them.

You can get good ideas in a dream. You can also have good ideas and solutions to problems come to you the next morning after you wake up. Review the problem mentally in the morning to encourage this latter process.

Are these scientifically "proven" techniques. No. Try to measure the "value" of an idea scientifically. Try to say what counts as an idea, in order to see if the frequency increases when using these little tricks. Scientific proof in this area is difficult for now, but people have had productive dreams for thousands of years, and there is nothing harmful in trying to find an answer in a dream. Why not give it a try?

As a travel company, world ventures provides vacations (called "dream trips") to clients. They book these trips online, and by doing so, claim to have "combined the power of the Internet with network marketing".

The company was started by Wayne Nugent and Mike Azcue, who have ties to another company called GTT. World Ventures launched December 10, 2005, and claims to generate sales of just under $150,000,000 in revenue, and it costs $400 to join the company.

The real issue with the company is the marketing that is advocated and taught. The old MLM model of recruiting "friends and family" is still alive and well there, and for all the lip-service, they do not encourage the use of the Internet (beyond email) to grow your business. They do have pretty graphics and fancy java-script on their website, but their marketing strategies are strongly rooted in the 1950's.

To sum up, this COULD be a good opportunity is a marketer that had skills stepped in and applied those skills. The average person looking to cash in on the travel industry will find some significant lacking in the actual marketing system that drives sales.

Think back to when you were a little kid. Did you have something you really wanted – like I mean – REALLY WANTED for Christmas?
For me – it was the Big Barbie Camper.
For those of you who have no idea of what I am talking about – this was the Cadillac of all Barbie products – the huge RV camper that had everything in it – stickers for the outside – unbelievable.
I drooled over the catalogue pages. Dog-eared the section with all the Barbie stuff. Pored over all the amazing features of The Big Barbie Camper.
It was a camper that actually moved, with real wheels and a steering wheel, an awning, table and bench inside – what more did an 8 year old girl need? I had visions of Ken and Barbie driving their massive RV all over our basement floor.
It was also $75 and there was no way my parents would have spent that amount on one gift.
What did I get instead? A fuzzy, white bathrobe and a “spanky” collection of Anne of Green Gables books.
I have never forgotten how much I wanted that Big Barbie Camper. And even though I didn’t get it – I still believe in having Big Barbie Camper dreams.
What is a Big Barbie Camper Dream anyway?
Well – in business and in life, if you allow yourself to settle for second best I guarantee that is exactly what you will receive.
Every woman needs a big dream – the kind that seems impossible at first. But the more you think about it, dream about it, talk about it – it starts to feel real.

To Have a Dream, Living Without a Goal by: Thea Verhoeckx

This is our story how we change everything in live we had, bought a gypsy carriage and two horses and went away.

We can recommend the choices we have made to everybody. Because it is possible to give a friendly goodbye to the boss, leave your house, to take beloved ones and belongings with you and follow your dream.

We (John and Thea) are a married couple for two whole years now. We met each other, four years ago on the Internet. We made immediately “the click.” After three months, we already moved John’s computer to my house. Soon the computer followed by books and books, his son, and even more books. My own two kids really get along with John and his son. They are all above twenty and independent young people.

At that time John was not working. Quit his Psychiatric nurse job looking for a different perspective on work in generally.
He found this later when he starts up his own coaching practice. I worked with juvenile delinquencies, specifically with young dropouts from school. Nice jobs, good perspectives for both of us, no worries about that at all. In my free time, I was re-building my house, planning to live there for a couple of years. It changes for the better. Together we bought a house in Breda. A small town at the South of Holland. Beautiful place, nice surrounding. The house big enough for two out of three children. One was studying already.

After a short break in the country, we start fantasizing about our dreams in the nearby future.

We start to think about these questions:

What do we REALLY want in our lives?
What do we really NEED?
What do we have and DON’T really want it ANYMORE?
What are the subjects we want to EXPLORE in the future?
Is there a GOAL to go for?
Is there something in the past that we have done and want to do it AGAIN?
Is there a reason TO WAIT till later?
Is there any urgent reason not to DO IT NOW?
Will that reason later also exist?
Will we die and regret that we DIDN’T do THIS?

Why work to pay for a car that you need for your work to pay the mortgage etc.?

Is there no other way of living?

Live is too beautiful to be limited in goals.

John has a dream of working with horses again. In the past, he worked with them on an unusual way. One horse in front of a car, collecting leftovers and bring them to a cow farm. The ecological environment movement was booming business in Holland at that time. John got involved in that and had a good time for almost two years. His memories about that time are lively and inspiring. Thea, ready for a change in life with less responsibility more freedom in lifestyle, gets enthusiastic by the idea of working with horses.

Full swing.

We unmistakably go “the full swing”.

To start a new life, we need “new space”, in our mind and thoughts in let go off all security.

Somewhere along the line, we came up with the idea of applying our thoughts on the mainland. In a special way: resign from our jobs, cancel the practice, and buy two horses and a wagon.

That means, sell our house, quit jobs and sell all we have or bring it to charity.

Full freedom to do what we want or what will come up in the future.

The money comes from the house we sell. That is for sure. About our jobs, we can be short. We both have the qualities, if necessary, to start al over again. The skills required for our jobs we still have and can only involve with the experiences we will meet. The so-called securities in life did not fall from the sky. We both work hard for that and will do so again if necessary.

First, we looked in Ireland for a place where we could live and work, to fulfil our dream, further away from the busy life in Holland. We had the plan to settle here, life in the country, working with horses. Ireland is actually one of the most expensive countries to live in within Europe. Therefore, that was not quite it.

Behold the ingredients for the Slow Express Journey, a project in which only the direction is set and not a goal.

The goal will unfold itself and afterwards we might be able to formulate it.

How this will end up in a world that is entirely submit to the regime of purpose?

This year as I begin to reflect on all that we have done at Help More People, the hundreds we have served, the businesses launched, stretched, and grown I am really grateful and a bit curious. I get asked all the time- how did you do it? Here's how:

When you love what you do so much your sides could split, money comes easy. I know some of you are already discounting this after just my first sentence. You are pulling up all your considerations and circumstances:

~ I love what I do and I am broke

~ I am in my purpose, but I hate marketing

~ I am passionate, but I can't get clients

~ I love what I do, but this is too hard

No. When you love what you do... when you wake up every day feeling like if you didn't do it then it would be criminal, then you figure out, learn, and do whatever it takes. You never stop. You never pause. For me money is love. It allows me to share, give, develop, and grow. Over the last three years I was never chasing the money- I was always chasing the dream. The dream of seeing hundreds of entrepreneurs launch and grow and thrive even in this economy. The dream of seeing helping-based businesses change lives and transform people and situations. The dream of having the abundance to write checks for things I am passionate about and care for deeply. I was chasing the love - the love I had to share with people that I knew would then turn and share with others - that deep, rich ripple effect love.

Chasing the money doesn't work. At some point you will get bored and angry when things don't go exactly as you planned. Money is not that hard to make. Really. You could think of 100 ways to make money today - illegally, legally, in a job, asking, begging, Ebay, on and on. Money is not that hard to make. The hard part is making a difference. When you can make money by making a difference, everything is deeper. You don't mind the hits or jabs or naysayers that come your way, you simply keep chasing the dream because when your dream comes true, so does everyone's around you.

When you love what you do so much you will do whatever it takes to BE THE CHANGE in this world, when you are focused on helping people, serving, and love, you can't help but make money. I wake up everyday and ask myself two questions:

* Who can I help?

* Who can I serve?

December 21, 2012: A Dream Age Begins! by: Bob Finklea

The Folktale

In the early winter of December in the year 2012, the Mayans and many other ancient cultures of antiquity have predicted the 'return of the gods' in their literature and other records. This return is actually the return of a consciousness that humans have not seen in tens of thousands of years, going back to when we were humans in spirit form. 'the fall of man' is what it is now called that we lost many eons ago. In a nutshell 'the fall of man' was a series of events that caused human beings in the spirit to become desirous for themselves and thus become human beings 'in the flesh' which was the 'fall' part. Our selfishness (desire to seek for the self alone) separated us from God and so we then manifested physical bodies in the physical world and still reside in these physical bodies today.

This means, in simple terms that the frequency that our consciousness operated on was lowered because of our lack of sharing, and it was lowered to a point that we could not maintain our spiritual bodies (today known as the light-body) and as a result we became physical creatures with physical creature issues, like needing to eat and getting rid of bodily waste as well as the need to breathe air to survive. We lacked enough of Gods divine essence flowing through us and so we needed to live like the physical creatures that we become. The problem with this is obvious in that if you have all of these physical needs and symptoms that make you selfish, how can you get back to the spiritual body where none of these physical issues exist.

The Cycle

When the 'fall of man' occurred, it happened to us as a collective. This meant that everyone experienced this fall together as a race of beings. In December of 2012, we as a collective will experience the raising of our consciousness through a raise in our collective frequency that our nervous systems operate on and this raise in frequency will be the 'return of the gods' that the Mayans and other ancient cultures spoke of. This will happen to us as a result of a shift of our solar system and galaxy that occurs every thirteen thousand years.

Our planet takes a year to go around our sun one time, and our sun takes twenty-six thousand of our years to go around the center of our galaxy one time. High energy particles escape from the series of black holes in the center of our galaxy shooting out cosmic material in only one direction (instead of all directions) in a way that divides our galaxy in half with one half (equaling the first thirteen-thousand years) getting a constant fresh supply of new matter, and the other half of our galaxy getting no constant fresh supply of direct new matter material (equaling the second thirteen-thousand years). We need twenty-six thousand years to make one full revolution of one half fresh new cosmic energy and the other half no fresh new cosmic energy.

When we are in the thirteen-thousand years with no fresh new cosmic energy we experience a lack of sufficient 'light' and as a result we become selfish and desirous to ourselves instead of sharing. When we are in the thirteen-thousand years where we get constant fresh new cosmic energy, we have an increase of light from our galactic center which increases the frequency that our nervous system operates on and as a result we experience an increase in our consciousness and the desire to share everything and help each other ceaselessly. This happens to us every twenty-six thousand years. Half of our solar systems revolution around our galactic center is happy and positive (the girl cycle) and the other half of our solar systems revolution around our galactic center is sad and negative (the boy cycle). We are at the point that we can become divine again when we are going through the girl cycle. This is what Jesus explained to his apostles and others during his time among us. As we go around our galactic center we experience either one or the other of these two states throughout history.

It is unfortunate that most people have been brainwashed to believe that humanity has only been around for a mere sixty-five hundred years or so. They have been deprived of a great revelation!

The Result

What does this have to do with December of 2012?

In December of 2012 we will officially enter 'the girl cycle' of our revolution around our galactic center and that is what the Mayans and others meant when they said that their gods would return. This will be the start of thirteen thousand years of happiness, peace and positive energy. Many early cultures spoke of this cycle like the ancient Mayans, the Hopi, the Essene community and The Cathars of early France, as well as many great souls that have counseled us over the centuries like Buddha and Jesus. We have not been openly taught of this cycle, how and why it happens and have been deprived of its secrets, the greatest of which is that the girl cycle (divine feminine) it is coming again in December of 2012 and we can regain our divinity again when this happens.

We have been led to believe that we are not worthy of Heaven or of God but this is false and misleading. We are simply going through 'the boy cycle' and it is not our fault that we are like this. In December of 2012, there will come great difficulties with this coming change. Those in power will not give up all that they have without a fight and that fight will be an attack on you and I. An attack on our consciousness!

They are responsible for the horrible things that will happen leading up to December of 2012 including the natural disasters, intentional famine and spread of manufactured diseases as well as general negativity in our society mostly through the news media. These people will make us fight each other and call it 'competition' and claim that it is good for us when they are fully aware of the devastating effects that it has on us as a collective.

Oddly enough, their efforts will fail miserably and the new era will start as scheduled. In the few years that we have left in this era, we had better brace ourselves for some very difficult times ahead. It would be prudent and smart to find out what is being said about 2012 and how to prepare for it whether it be good or bad. It is always wise to be prepared instead of sorry, especially if you have kids to care for.

This secret has been so powerful to me that before I captured it, I was a 'success casualty'. A big one.
Some of you know my story and some of you don't, but ever since I was 19 years old I dreamed of doing what I'm doing right now.
But for my first 7 years, I was TOTALLY lost.
Maybe 'lost' is even an understatement.
I had 6 jobs my first 6 years after I left college (University of Rhode Island)
About 4 years ago I was making $10 an hour at a job I hated and even my own parents weren't sure I'd ever make something of myself.
Heck, I'm not sure I was convinced if I'd ever 'get there'.
But I never gave up on my dream. Never.
What I'm about to share with you is very important.
This one thing I'm going to share with you has made me more money than I'd ever imagine at 30 years old and has helped me live my dreams.

A location bathed in Mediterranean sunlight all year round? Where friendly locals vastly outnumber tourists and where the only high-rise development is the mountain range sheltering the cost-line? Well, I’ve been there, and so can you. Northern Cyprus. Mostly neglected in favour of its highly commercialised neighbour to the south, the northern part of the island has always been thought of as difficult to access and therefore attracts a mere fraction of the tourists that flock to Cyprus. Ancient ruins, azure skies and crystal seas abound. As do colourful villages, traditional buildings and very photogenic and friendly locals. All of which makes it a dream come true for the keen photographer. Especially the keen photographer who is also keen on combining a living or hobby with a decent holiday now and then!
If you enjoy ancient history as a backdrop, then Saint Hilarion Castle is a good start. Perched high in the mountains, and with rather too many steps to the top, the visitor is rewarded with stunning views. But beware, heat haze, especially in summer is a problem. Best to make a very early start for the clearest views. If you feel a little less energetic, then Bellapais Abbey offers many beautiful views and its mellow stonework glows in the sun. There are many more historic treasures, such as the Roman ruins at Salamis on the island’s east coast. All but untouched, there are priceless pieces of mosaics and wall paintings still to be found here and all are easily accessible. Salamis lies at the gateway to the Karpas Peninsula, which affords possibly the greatest treats. Seemingly all but untouched by human hand, the Karpas stretches up to the far north-east tip of Cyprus. Over 80 kilometres in length and up to 20 wide, this is an area where farmers still use horse-power in the original meaning and where you can drive for miles without seeing another human being. It is also home to some amazingly beaches, some literally deserted and some, the nesting sites of rare species of marine turtles. There is much more in the Karpas to delight the nature photographer too, with many birds and uncommon insects. Not to mention meadows full of wild flowers and rare orchids early in the year.
There is a more lively and populated side to the island too, though in true Mediterranean fashion, nothing ever moves fast in Cyprus. Busy, colourful markets can be found in the towns of Nicosia and Famagusta and the region is home to literally hundreds of restaurants – from the smallest of traditional coffee shops to beautifully-decorated establishments serving the best of continental cuisine. When it comes to travel and accommodation, the choices are now quite wide. Certainly, Northern Cyprus has a good range of hotels, including some international standard five-stars. But some of the best experiences can be had in smaller, family run property, which also offers exceptional value. You can fly direct from the UK (with one short touchdown) and it is now also possible to fly into southern Cyprus and cross the border unrestricted.
Power supply can be a little erratic, again in traditional Mediterranean fashion! But digital enthusiasts will be surprised to find it is mostly UK style ‘three-square-pin’ outlets at 230 volts. For the traditionalists, there are limited processing facilities and although there are plenty of retail outlets, you are unlikely to find any esoteric film stock. if your preference is for Velvia, be prepared to take your own! Travel early or late in the season for the mildest weather and clearest skies. In April and May, the island is green and awash with flowers, but you may catch cloudy or wet days. September and October bring crystal-clear, blue skies, but greens are faded by the summer sun. Following the recent lifting of border restrictions, Northern Cyprus is becoming more widely known and low land prices are encouraging villa development. Travel now and point your lenses at one of the only remaining unspoilt parts of the Mediterranean. While you still can…….

Become a Test Driver for #Car Magazines -- a Dream Job for Car Enthusiasts by: David Bellm

Imagine getting paid to drive some of the world’s greatest cars -- Mercedes, Corvette, Porsche, Viper, and others. Sounds great? Now picture doing that on luxurious all-expense-paid trips to exotic locations, where you hang out with some of the biggest names in the auto industry.

That’s everyday life for car-magazine test drivers.

Hard to believe? You're not the only person who thinks so. I've worked as a car-magazine test driver since 1999 and I still get looks of astonishment when I tell people what I do for a living. Getting a job like this seems like it would be as hard as winning the lottery. But the truth is, you don't have to be working for big, glossy sports-car magazines to enjoy a great job as a test driver. There are countless other publications that use test drivers. And you don't need extraordinary luck or rare talent to get into this profession.

Granted, it's not as easy as applying to get a part-time job at the mall, or even like going after a typical office job. But it's also not a frustrating, one-in-a-million chance like trying to become a rock star or a Hollywood actor either. Far from it.

There isn't a pre-specified way to become a car-magazine test driver as there is for, say, becoming a doctor or lawyer. So you have to pretty much find your own path into the field. That may sound intimidating, but it's actually another one of the profession's upsides -- people can work their way into test-driver jobs from widely varying experience and education. For example, one of my colleagues was working in a retail bookstore before becoming a test driver. He got into an automotive publication by taking a relatively easy job in a publisher's photo library. The photo library worked with the company's automotive division a lot, so he was in a prime position when a job opened up there.

Now he hangs out at racetracks, drives Jaguars and Corvettes, and goes on press trips to Hawaii and Palm Springs.

His story is fairly typical. Plenty of people -- men and women alike -- get into the profession in similar sorts of ways. And you might be surprised at how quickly things can move along toward getting such a job if you put your mind to it. Although every person's career progresses at a different pace, three to five years is a pretty normal time for breaking into becoming a test driver. Not bad for a job that routinely puts you behind the wheel of $60,000 cars for a week at a time.

Regardless of your experience or education, you'll have to learn how to write fairly well. Once test drivers drive a car, they're usually required to write an article based on their findings. And when they're not behind the wheel, test drivers are usually sitting at their desk writing other things such as news pieces, interview stories, or retrospective articles.

That said, you don't have to be an award-winning writer with decades of journalism experience to become a test driver. A lot of people working in this field are self-taught. With some study and diligent practice, most car enthusiasts could learn how to write well enough to do the job.

For anyone who loves cars, being a test driver is like a fairy tale mixed with a weekend in Vegas -- you can’t help but be amazed by some of the things you get to do. It takes more effort to get these jobs than it does to break into other, more mundane fields. But it's well worth it.

Building Your Dream Home - Part 1 by: Mark J. Donovan

For most of my adult life I had thought about someday building my Dream Home. Several years ago I finally got the chance. I had purchased a lake front lot with a small cottage on it. My initial intention was to use the property “as is”, and someday raze the old cottage and build a new home in its place. After a couple of weekends in the musty old camp I came to the conclusion that I needed to speed up my timetable.
Part of the dream in building my own home was to act as the General Contractor and to personally supply a great deal of sweat equity. I accomplished both of these goals, however it was not easy. There were many roadblocks and bends in the road along the way. In the subsequent parts of this chronology, I will review my experiences in hopes that others may gain from my experiences.
Determining the Home Style and Size
After making the decision to raze the cottage and build a new home, I had to first determine what type and size of home to build. My lot was limited in size and required careful planning to ensure that I would meet all of the setbacks governed by the town I lived in. Although I had these concerns, I decided to forgo the Architect route. I deemed it too expensive and probably not necessary for the style of home I wanted to build. Instead I picked up a handful of Home Plan magazines and surfed the internet for home designs. I also picked up an inexpensive software package for designing homes and floorplans. After a week of reviewing home plans, I found one that met most of my requirements in terms of a floorplan. The footprint was smaller than I wanted, but I concluded that I could redraw the floor plan accordingly using my newly purchased Home Design Software Package.
The Home Design Software package was not as simple to use as the instruction manual implied, however after a couple of weeks I had a floorplan with all the dimensional information.
Assuming the role as the General Contractor
As I had indicated earlier, one of my goals was to assume the role as General Contractor on this project. I quickly learned that banks frown upon lending construction mortgages to everyday homeowners and to folks who have little professional building experience. I got around this issue by deciding not to use the banks for financing. However, from what I learned later, it may have been possible for me to assume a construction mortgage if I had quit my day job and applied for the loan as a “full time General Contractor”. Indeed, I would have needed to complete a full proposal to the bank with all costs and subcontractors identified, but this is necessary anyways.
As the General Contractor I developed a build schedule and task list. Some of the top items included: Identifying subcontractors, pulling permits, and having a septic design approved.
Carefully Pick your Sub-Contractors
Identifying the right subcontractors is the most important task a General Contractor performs. Poor selection of subcontractors can lead to delays in schedules, cost overruns, poor workmanship and strife between the various subcontractors on the job. Prior to hiring subcontractors, it is important to visit their current jobsites. Review their work on existing jobsites and mingle with the other subs to judge the working relationship. In addition get two or three reference checks on the subcontractors. If there are poor workmanship, personality issues, or references move on. Do not settle for second rate subs, even if it means slipping your schedule or costs goals, as you will more than likely suffer even larger schedule slips or higher costs by hiring the wrong people.
Pulling Permits
Once you have selected and hired your excavator, chief framer, and foundation company, review with them your plans. Make sure you walk the site with them, and carefully stake out the house footprint, paying careful attention to lot setbacks, septic tanks, leach fields and well location. Once all are agreed upon with the house plans and the location of the home, contact the building inspector and review with him/her your plans. You will need to submit a very thorough package to the building inspector prior to getting approval. There are frequently town and state forms that need to be filled out regarding wetlands, and home thermal analysis. In addition, detailed engineering drawings of the proposed home may be required. In my case the Framer was able to assist in developing additional sketches of the house plan to ensure structural compliance to local, state and federal building codes. If I had used the initial home plans I had obtained, those would have been sufficient. I also could have contacted an architect with my selected plans to provide additional details, however it was not necessary in my case.
After about a week and several hundred dollars later I had the permit to build a new home.
Septic Design
My home required its own septic system on site. As a result, I required a septic design and an associated permit for the new home. I recommend pursuing this as early as possible in any new home project as this can take up to 2-3 months to complete as both town and state approvals are required, not to mention site and engineering work.
Without knowing exactly where the septic system and tank will reside, it may be difficult to locate the exact position of the home and in many cases the building inspector may not approve the building permit until the septic design permit has been obtained. I was fortunate in that the property already had a small septic system on the lot, so the building inspector gave me approval. I was at financial risk, however, in the event the new septic design was not approved or needed to be repositioned from the proposed location. Fortunately that was not the case and I was able to move forward on razing the cottage and beginning site work.

Many of you might disagree and I'm prepared for that.

Many 'guru's' might say "Mike, you're wrong." and I'm prepared for that.

But what I'm about to share with you has been one of my biggest secrets to my success.

This secret has been so powerful to me that before I captured it, I was a 'success casualty'. A big one.

Some of you know my story and some of you don't, but ever since I was 19 years old I dreamed of doing what I'm doing right now.

But for my first 7 years, I was TOTALLY lost.

Maybe 'lost' is even an understatement.

I had 6 jobs my first 6 years after I left college (University of Rhode Island)

About 4 years ago I was making $10 an hour at a job I hated and even my own parents weren't sure I'd ever make something of myself.

Heck, I'm not sure I was convinced if I'd ever 'get there'.

But I never gave up on my dream. Never.

When I was making $50k a month, my goal was $65k.

And on and on and on.

How do you dream up ideas for new inventions? Use any of the many excellent idea-creation techniques. One of the easiest is the use of a modifying-word list.

Several times now I have seen giant chairs. The most recent one was in a bar, being used by the host of a trivia contest. It was eight feet tall. Someone made and sold that chair, but how did he think of the idea? The simplest way would be to look at things and ask "what if it was bigger?"

That is the essence of the modifying word list. You look at things and ask, "What if it was..." and insert a word from the list to stimulate ideas for new inventions. To show the technique in action, I just looked around the room and chose a table as a test subject. I look at the word list and ask "What if it was..."

Bigger: If it had leaves that spread from a central pivot, it could be opened up easily into a larger surface, like a hand fan opened horizontally.

Movable: The obvious idea here is to put wheels on it. Another possibility is a line of super light tables that can be carried from room to room easily.

Cheaper: I once used an old door as a table. Are there cheap and available materials that could be used to make doors?

Interesting: Make tables that are covered in family photos (or anything else you want). The top would then be encased in acrylic. Easy to clean too!

Divided: Four small tables that can be used on their own or connected into one large table?

Subtracted from: Take away the legs and it would be easier to clean under. Could it hang from the ceiling?

Hotter: A warming tray built into the center of the table might be convenient for keeping meals hot.

Happier: Use colors that evoke positive emotions. Make cartoon-covered tables for day-care centers.

Take notes as you do this, and develop or discard the ideas later. Most words won't give you useful ideas, but don't dismiss them without a few seconds of thought. Creative solutions can begin with unrelated thoughts. "What if it was boring?" may seem useless, but then it could lead to the development of a line of furniture based purely on function: simple and cheap.

Words For New Inventions

You can make your own list for this technique. Generally it will need a lot of adjectives, but any words that have the potential to change your perspective can work. You may want to include some of the following.

What if it was... larger... smaller... farther away... closer... sooner... later... easier... more difficult... softer... harder... poorer... richer... wetter... drier... higher... lower... longer... shorter... certain... uncertain... newer... older... divided... combined... more common... less common... faster... slower... better... worse... hotter... colder... added to... subtracted from... left alone... hopeless... imaginary... cheaper... more expensive?

Take notes as you do this exercise, and give each word a few seconds of thought. Creative solutions can begin with unrelated thoughts. "What if it was hopeless?" may seem useless, if you are looking for new inventions to replace existing shopping carts, but it could also make you look beyond ways for customers to gather their groceries. Maybe an invention to bring the groceries to the customer would be more radical and marketable.

Everybody has a dream. A fantasy, if you like. Usually it takes the form of something we would like to have, or something we would like to happen to us. How we respond to this dream will decide whether we are successful, or whether we remain as we are.

We could continue to dream and say 'If only...', knowing that we will never see our dream come true. In this case our dream becomes a SUBSTITUTE for action. Or we can act on our dream and try to make it happen. In this case our dream becomes a MODEL for our action.

I think we all have a dream. Be a millionaire, own a nice home in the country, own a Rolls Royce, whatever... That dream will only remain a dream for as long as we let it. In most cases this is forever.

Many people think that a dream is just a pleasant fantasy. Well, it can be. But the most important aspect of a dream is that it is a signal for action. The most incredible succ*ess stories all began with a dream. A dream is a goal for us to achieve a purpose in life - a destination.

That last point is very important. A goal is essential if you are to achieve great wealth. And it is important that you focus on a specific goal in your dream. It is no good saying that you want to be rich. This is not specific enough. That would be like going to a bank and asking for plenty of money!

To set an effective goal it must be a specific one. Your ultimate goal will be reached via many smaller, short-term 'goals'. Remember, a goal is a destination, and you can't get there if you don't know where you're going.

The Power Of Desire

Once you know what you want, you must then imagine what life would be like when you have it. If you want to be a millionaire, think of how you would spend your free time, and the luxuries you would enjoy. This brings into play the power of desire. This is an enormously strong emotion. When we desire, we tend to make more positive attempts to obtain the object of our craving.

Buy a small note book and write about a typical day (or day off!) when you are we*althy. Imagine what you would be able to do with the increased spending power. Write down everything that you would like to do, given the chance. Be as explicit as you like, and write it as vividly as you can.

When you have finished, read it back to yourself. What does it do to you? Can you feel yourself aching to be able to live life that way? Does it make you really jealous of those who are enjoying that sort of life? If it does, then well done. You have just created desire. If you have done it well enough, you should want that life so much that it hurts!

Read this note book every day. Add more to it if you think of something else you would like to do. Your book will motivate you through desire. It will remind you of the reward waiting for you - and it will inspire you to succeed.

So now go back over your dream of the future. You are now going to focus on the things you desire. You no longer want a Luxury car - you want a Rolls Royce. It isn't A house it's THE house. The one on Accacia avenue that you pass every day on your way to work. You must now start to focus on your 'goals'.

Observing The Reality

The next stage of action is to observe the reality. If there IS a house you would like, then visit it often. By this I don't mean you should stand under an adjacent street-lamp and leer ghoulishly at it until the cops arrive! You need only walk past it. Plan what changes you will make to it when it is yours, mentally re-arrange the garden and picture how you will change it to suit you.

If you know which sort of car you would buy, look at a model in a showroom. Find out about it. Get the specifics. Find out how much it costs, what extras are available, and other relevant details. Remember, you are converting your dream into hard facts. You are creating a specific destination. By doing this, you will be taking a positive step toward achieving your dream. Whereas before you were a thinker, now you are a doer. Positive action is characteristic of a successful entrepreneur.

Look To The Future

An important aspect of of visualizing your dream is the ability to look to the future. In doing this you are applying the same technique as millions of other successful people. You must see your life as it will be when your dream comes to fruition. You are preparing yourself for your own success.

Many of the people who buy books on starting a business actually don't bother starting up. They can't imagine themselves ever running their own business and earning Un*limited amounts of money. They never see things how they can be - only how they are. Don't make this mistake. KNOW what you want, KNOW how to get it, SEE how it WILL be, and then go for it!!

It Came To Me In A Dream by: Steve Gillman

Maybe you have solved problems and had new ideas in your dreams as well. There is no doubt that it can happen, but how do we make it more likely, and more common? Try the following.

Getting Ideas In A Dream

- Think about it a lot. If a period of intense mental work on a problem precedes sleep, the subconscious mind has been "instructed" that this is important, and will continue to work on the problem during sleep.

- Write the problem down, and what qualities the solution may have, just before going to sleep.

- Practice with simple problems. See if you can get yourself to imagine a new kind of furniture, or a new poem in a dream.

- Keep paper and pen by the side of the bed. Write down any ideas you have when you wake up. The process encourages your mind to have even more ideas. A tape recorder is even better, because you can use it without a light and quickly go back to sleep.

- If you wake up without an alarm, you are more likely to remember your dreams. If you need an alarm for work, try problem solving in dreams over the weekend.

- As soon as you wake up, quickly review any dreams you can recall. This "sets" them in your mind before you can forget them. Then you can think back on them later, to see if there is anything useful there.

- If you don't need sound sleep, try sleeping on the floor or in another slightly uncomfortable way. The repeated waking up and going back to sleep gives you more opportunities to remember dreams. I took notes on nine dreams one night in this way, and had two good ideas from them.

You can get good ideas in a dream. You can also have good ideas and solutions to problems come to you the next morning after you wake up. Review the problem mentally in the morning to encourage this latter process.

Are these scientifically "proven" techniques. No. Try to measure the "value" of an idea scientifically. Try to say what counts as an idea, in order to see if the frequency increases when using these little tricks. Scientific proof in this area is difficult for now, but people have had productive dreams for thousands of years, and there is nothing harmful in trying to find an answer in a dream. Why not give it a try?

It’s one of the saddest events I see. Fear, the most destructive of human emotions, succeeds in totally ruining the dreams and ambitions of millions and millions of people every year.

And the real sad part is that the people involved give in to their fears and kill their beautiful dream. Any chance of experiencing a fulfilled happy life, of living the life they truly want, evaporates.

Are you killing your beautiful dream too?

I want to share with you a true story by way of example.

Recently, I met up with a good friend of mine for a drink. I hadn’t seen her for a while and was looking forward to meeting up. Nikkie is a very talented dancer who’s never happier than when she’s dancing. When I last saw her, she was buzzing with excitement about 2 stage shows she was performing in and told me of her plans to finish her IT degree course then move to London to pursue her dancing professionally. Eventually, she’d manage her own studio and teach.

What a great dream, yes? Dancing and performing for a living, then teaching the art to others. Fantastic!

Her eyes sparkled and she had a real buzz about her. Have you ever felt this way about something? Passion! A constant, unwavering, motivating, inspiring PASSION. Believe me, it is something I love to find in people. People who feel this way about their dream crackle with energy and are busy living life.

I couldn’t wait to hear how her plans were progressing and how her shows had gone. Yes, she’s attractive, but what attracted me the most was her passion for her dream. Passion is contagious!

OK, get the tissues ready because here’s the sad news:

We met and I knew instantly something had changed. She told me about how hard her exams had been but she’d obtained her degree. “Well done, now, what’s happening with your dancing? How did the shows go?”

She replied that the shows were fine and then knocked me for 6: “I’ve decided not to pursue dancing now. I’ve started a graduate management training scheme and I’m going to have a career in IT instead.”

I tried hard to convince her to pursue her dream but the buzz had gone. She’d always said the degree was just for back up and I reminded her of this and she said, resignedly: “things have changed. Dancing is just for fun now.”

At the root of her decision is fear. The usual fear excuses were all trotted out:

“It’s so difficult to break in to the top level.”

“I’d have to move away from home, I’d miss my family and I’d be on my own in a big city.”

“There’s more money in IT.”

I told her others had overcome the first two therefore, she could. But the last one is the key. I had a fantastic career in IT – I love working with computers, always have. Conversely, Nikkie worked for 6 weeks last summer in an office and HATED EVERY SECOND of it. She was bored because it wasn’t active enough for her. And now, with a degree in her hand, she’s willing to sell-out on her dream to do something she hates purely for money and security.

She isn’t the first to kill her dream for these reasons and she won’t be the last.

I feel sorry for her. Because now she’ll never know how far she could’ve got as a dancer. Maybe she’ll return to it and teach and I really hope she does. But it won’t be as the wonderfully fulfilled person who gave everything for her dream and experienced tremendous satisfaction and the greatest reward of all: the happiness that comes from achieving success having overcome challenge after challenge.

Yes, pursuing a dream is tough. There will be endless hours of work, years of dedication, tears of frustration, setbacks, sticking points and failures. They’re the price demanded by success. But it’s worth every single second of it when finally, the day dawns when your efforts start to bear fruit. It’s a very special feeling, the biggest buzz you or I can ever have.

Your dream is special. You don’t need anyone’s approval for it and you don’t need to be frightened of it. Commit to it. Honestly, you will not regret it no matter what happens. But if you kill it, well…

I’ll leave you with the same words I said to Nikkie as we parted:

“As the years pass, age will bring you time to reflect on your life. If you live a dream your memories will bring you joy and comfort. If you betray it, the memory of your betrayal will haunt you because you’ll never know how high you could’ve flown. Life is not a dress rehearsal. Please don’t give up on your dream.”

People from all corners of the world are desperate for a baby of a certain sex, and for numerous different reasons. A boy to carry on the family name, a girl to be Daddy's little angel. Baby sex selection would be a dream come true for a lot of people

I have a few friends who have 3 or 4 children all of the same sex. When asked if they are having any more, the answer is always "If someone could guarantee me a boy, I would. I just so want to give my husband a little boy to play football with" or "If there was a way I could definitely get a little girl, I would be all for it, but with 3 boys... I just wouldn't take the risk of another!"

I am one of lucky ones, I have a boy and a girl, one of each, most people tell me how blessed I am. And I do feel blessed, not to mention guilty sometimes when I see my friend walking in the street with her 3 little girls.

Years ago people just popped babies out and didn't really mind if they were boys or girls. IF they really wanted one or the other, they would just keep having babies until they got what they wanted.

These days things are very different. The average family with it's 2.4 children, just can't afford to keep adding more kids to the itinerary until they get exactly what they want.

So in today's society there must be things that you can do, after all it's a world of freedom and choice.

Well there are things that you can do, but they don't come cheap! It all depends on what lengths you are willing to go to, to add that much wanted child of a certain gender to your family.

Gender Selection - The Expensive Method!

Now if you have a couple of thousand pounds lying handy (which I'm sure not many of us have these days!) There's a procedure called 'Microsort' This gender selection method sorts out the sperm, male and female. Now that sounds fairly easy, the next bit is the hard bit.

You will then have to undergo IVF (inVitro fertilization) or IUI (intrauterine insemination) With IVF your eggs will be harvested and mixed with either male or female sperm. If the sperm goes on to fertilize the egg, you will then have the sex selection embryo implanted into your uterus.

With IUI the sperm will be deposited into your uterus by artificial ways. This is a lot less invasive for the woman, and can also work out cheaper.

The problem with the above procedures is that neither one can guarantee you a baby! On the other hand, if you do get pregnant from these gender selection procedures, the chance of you having the gender of your choice is a lot more promising. At around 90% success rate with a girl, and 80% success rates for boys, you would be well on your way to the baby of your dreams.

As baby sex selection becomes more widely available, will planning to have a baby also include planning its gender too?

Nature is the most ideal place for us to learn, how not. Nature so has shown us wise. without words, without promotion, nature has many lessons incredible to us. Probably most of us never thought about learning a given by this worm. maybe even we will always kill him when he saw this animal. But if we slightly opened eyes of our hearts, our minds, of course, many lessons will we get from this one animal.

Used by most of us probably already very familiar with the name metamofosis, where a worm that lives only crawl, sooner or later / someday he'll retreat, retreat to a hermitage in the dark. he will be wrapped in a cocoon, the helpless, a few days without eating, and even may experience tremendous pain. What we know is a process of tremendous change, well change from a caterpillar that was crawling, then became a helpless cocoon. which finally after experiencing pain and changes in the most extraordinary, the caterpillar turns into a butterfly is beautiful, who can fly around, with a full sense of freedom. In fact we are asked to reply butterfly, he probably will not be forgotten even know that he comes from a caterpillar.

Well that's a change, which sometimes most of us experience great fear when faced with these changes.
Here are three options facing people these changes. First he will surrender to the conditions we face, because it was too afraid to confront these changes, both he'll be reckless to face these changes and ultimately we become victims of change itself. and the third is much to learn from the change itself, he faces change, he continued to learn to find the answers to deal with these changes. well sometimes ridiculed, harassed and even perhaps the theme reviled by others. but he must continue to seek these answers, which finally arrived at what he dreamed. he can fly freely around the beautiful flying like a butterfly ........

Dreams and the meaning of dreams is a subject that interests many people. At times it can drive you wild to know just what that dream means. In case and point if you continue to have a dream over and over again, you really want to find out what you mind is thinking.

How about those dreams about being naked? Interesting to say the least, but what do they really mean? A way that you possibly caught off guard in a situation even.

It's pretty funny how the meaning can chance so quickly. One point you feel you are missing something, while the other you are becoming more! Our dreams and goals are certainly living things, breathed into being by our own thoughts. It is vital to nurture them and encourage them to grow and thrive, or else they will surely perish. Though this may sound like common sense advice, it's amazing how many of us don't do this.

Following are the six ways to keep your dreams alive, and even better - make them thrive!

Provide a Fertile Foundation - If you begin planting your dreams in a heart and mind that is polluted with negativity or scattered with doubts, they will not be able to thrive properly. Before beginning the planting process, sweep away all unnecessary debris that could stunt the growth of your dreams. If it's too late and you've already planted the ideas, you can simply uproot them momentarily and begin again with fresh soil.

Feed Them - The most important sustenance you can feed to your dreams is love. Treat your dreams like your most precious creations. Hold them close to your heart and continue to breathe loving life into them. Hold them in a place of prominence in your mind and continue to believe in them. Dreams and goals must be fed with positive thoughts at least daily, preferably several times a day. Give them nourishing snacks of happy encouragement and watch them grow fat and happy.

Water Them - Water is the bearer of emotion and feeling. Lend as much emotional feeling to your dreams as you can, because emotion is what gives your dreams energy and animation. Visualize the outcome of your dreams and goals, and infuse this vision with emotion. Feel the joy and satisfaction of realizing your dreams. Embrace them and shed happy tears for their beauty. Feel your heart lift with awe and thanksgiving, and allow those feelings to infuse your dreams with the power to become real.

Give Them Light - Let the light shine upon your dreams, in the form of inspiration and optimism. Jealously guard your dreams from negativity like a mother bear guards her cubs from danger. If others put your dreams down, the absolute worst thing you could do is to agree with them. Honor your dreams no matter what, no matter how stupid or worthless others may think they are. What others think does not matter, only your own opinion counts. Holding your dreams in high regard will always keep a positive light shining upon them.

Prune Them - Our dreams and goals will often change over time, just as we do. The older and wiser we get, we might realize that the dreams of our youth might not suit us as we are today. Periodically, take some time to re-evaluate your dreams and goals. Take a closer look at them and decide if any aspects might be pruned away or revised slightly. Goal-setting is rarely a one-time activity. Rather, we need to consistently evaluate our progress, and adjust our actions accordingly.

Give Them Room to Grow - Part of the pruning process described above is what will create more room for your dreams to grow bigger and better. But you can also take a look at whether your original dreams were self-limiting in any way. Perhaps you held back out of fear or hesitation, and now you feel you are capable of more. Remove all doubts and uncertainties and make as much room for your dreams as you can. Once they begin to grow and take shape, they will expand and fill the space you provided for them. At that point, you might need to readjust everything again and make even more room. One can hope, right? :-)

Emotion, Love and Co-Dependency by: Rion Williams

How is it that so many people will do all kinds of things based on their emotions?

How is it that people will do stupid, illogical, or miraculous things? Because of emotion.

Emotion influences behavior more than anything else. As in 'The Secret', you can have the logic but it's often not enough to spur things on.

"You have to FEEL it." Emotion truly is a blessing and so many adults including myself have forgot the amazing power of it.

If we could harness emotion and use it to our advantage with some form of control of it's contextual use, we can accomplish a lot more.

Emotion in it's purest form is overwhelming and inspirational.

There are different forms of emotion. Jealousy, lust, love, romance, envy, hate, rage, joy, happiness, pride, sorrow, pain, bittersweet loss, etc.

what's interesting to me is that emotion is close to natural alpha character. And most happy emotions are evident in women who are not as socially conditioned.

The further someone 'develops' logically or socially, the further they will generally get away from their natural character and ability to feel emotion.

People will say that men aren't emotional. No, we actually are.

But we do show emotion in different ways, but otherwise we often go through the exact same emotions as women.

So how do you create more emotion or experience it? I'd say not to get involved in co-dependencies or open yourself up to being 'used', but rather get in touch with your natural character.

Experience the natural character of the opposite sex.

Can you create emotion? Yes, or rather more accurately, you can harness it. Producer's do it all the time, usually to add value. Marketer's have gotten really good at it, usually to influence behavior of a buying decision.

Why not take control over the use of it and start bringing the truth of it back into your life? That's what I'm doing now.

I haven't felt lonely in probably 15 years because I built up walls to protect myself from other systems and people (especially in the Army where I had to).

Now, I'm finally opening up again to feel things. I wondered how anyone could 'be happy'. Thinking positive just didn't do it for me. I couldn't fathom how people could whistle and sing because it was sunny out. Now I'm starting to realize why.

It's because of emotion. It's because of their connection to nature and their natural (biological) character.

Other than negative emotions and their behavioral byproducts, there is a bad side of emotion. When emotion is used or exploited in the wrong types of relationships.

Emotion is also closer correlated to co-dependency than independence.

This is why millions of men and women will continue to stay in relationships that are otherwise completely unbeneficial to them.

One of my friends is stuck on an X-girlfriend for the emotional 'kick' he gets out of it despite her erratic behavior. Yet it's still an emotional co-dependency of all kinds of unhealthy drama.

However, there are a few people who can experience it all. Think of Tony Robbins and you might get an idea. And don't think you have to be a millionaire to be 'happy'.

Actually, it's often the poorest people in the world that are really the happiest. Emotion is value. Go to a village in South Africa and you're entire reality could shift. You've been valuing the wrong things your whole life when perhaps you looked down upon 'poor' people.

They have the most natural character as well as the purest emotion.

Men who have independence and only operate interdependently with other people can now have all the benefits of emotion WHILE maintaining relational authority and control without co-dependencies.

This is a tremendous amount of power yet with control as well.

We have enough logic not to do something stupid yet we can bask in the pure natural flow of emotion itself.

When you head off to college, it’s the place you’re going to be spending the next four years of your life living, studying and making new friends. With thousands of colleges to choose from, you may be finding it hard to pick the one that is right for you. So when it comes down to making a final decision, it’s really about where you’ll feel the most comfortable. Use these five ways to help you pick the college that best fits your personal needs and wants.

Class size

Everyone has a different learning style and while some thrive no matter how many people are in their classes, others need smaller classes in order to receive the right about of attention to foster learning. It’s not only about the size of individual classes either. It may be more about the size of the college in general. If you feel the need to be a part of tight-knit community with smaller classes then you may want to consider smaller private schools. If big city living is more your style and class size isn’t an issue for you, then bigger colleges and universities may be right up your alley.

Location, Location, Location

It’s important to remember that the college you choose is located in a city, town or geographic area of the country. The community that surrounds the college is just as important as the campus itself because you will have to live and interact beyond the confines of the campus. How close a college is to your hometown or where you have family, the weather and the geographic area of the country where the college is located are all factors that play in the decision making process.

Academic Programs

While most colleges and universities offer similar academic programs you should make sure that the colleges you are considering offer the area of study you’re interested in. There are schools that are rated higher than others for certain areas of study so this is something else you’ll want to consider when reviewing academic programs. For example, if you want to study international business, then you’ll want to consider the colleges that have the most graduates in the U.S. from the college of business.

Campus Life

College life isn’t all about the academic programs offered and how many graduate from its classrooms each year. College is also about the extracurricular activities, social events and clubs that make up the social side of college life. If you’re a competitive swimmer, you may want to consider colleges that have swim teams that you can try out for. If you’re a movie buff then it may be important to you that there is an on-campus theater.

Comfort and Safety Level

Before making a final decision on which college you’ll attend, you’ll need to visit each campus. You can take a guided tour with a peer advocate or walk the campus on your own with your parents. Pay close attention to how you feel during your visit. Do you feel comfortable and safe like you fit right in? Can you see yourself living in the community, going to classes and participating in the college life that surrounds you? Your comfort level with the college will play a key role in the decision you make.

Every college has pros and cons associated with attending it. When you’re comparing colleges, be sure to use these ways to help you create a list of your own pros and cons for each institution. The school that has all or most of the characteristics that are important is probably the one you’ll end up attending. In the end, when you find the school that is right for you, you’ll know it.

Believe in your dreams was the encouragement all over Disney World. What a great message to share with the visitors enjoying a fun family vacation! It was a great addition to the excitement of witnessing how the world of fairytales unraveled right before our eyes. Funny thing, but I believe that I was more excited than my daughters. I will also say that, I was not the only adult that felt this way. Many of my friends back home confessed to visiting the place several times. In such a magical place the believing in your dreams message certainly seemed to fit in perfectly.

Walter Elias Disney (December 5, 1901–December 15, 1966) was the founder of Disneyland. He started with his first cartoon character Mickey Mouse and move on to creating many more. Later Disney World was created. In my opinion Mr. Walter was a person that we can truly call an exceptional leader. Not only was he gifted with a great imagination but he was able to materialize them in order to share them with the rest of us. While keeping in mind Mr. Disney’s visions, I can easily see why in Disney World so many of the fascinating characters encourage visitors to believe in their dreams.

Now, let’s talk about you, what are your dreams, visions, goals etc? What is holding you back? Could it be fear of failure, to appear foolish in front of others? To tell you the truth, I can not tell you what is holding you back exactly. Only you can figure that out but, whatever it is find a way to get past them. If you need some type of inspiration remember how Mr. Walter brought to life his spectacular ideas. So whatever your dreams maybe give it a try. That’s the first and most important thing you must do, Believe in yourself! I am sure that a lot of hard work is going to be involve in to accomplishing your goals but; believing in yourself is essential to get started and staying motivated when things do not turn out as expected. It’s simple if you do not believe in yourself; you probably will not even give your dreams a try.

What’s in a Dream?

What’s in a dream? Shall I start large or small? Let’s go with huge. Martin Luther King proclaimed “I have a dream!” in a passionate and moving speech in 1963 to promote a peaceful movement for the Civil Rights and economic equality of African Americans. His dream changed the face of the nation. A life style change has followed that is now “in the bones” of the majority of citizens in this country. The way things were at that time in history is unimaginable to most people today, even those who lived during that time. Just as the way things are now would have seemed impossible to most people living then. It was not impossible to Martin Luther King, and those who had a similar dream or believed in his. This is one example of what’s in a dream – the power to change reality, and the lives and relations of millions.

Then, of course, there are the Wright Brothers who had a dream of people flying in a machine and were dismissed by those who could point to research proving that what they dreamed was not possible. So much for research!

Another example of an inconceivable dream coming to life is that of my client’s daughter. She has significant learning disabilities which kept her from being able to read in the fourth grade and for which she suffered greatly as a result. Yet she has something bigger than this - she has a dream. She is now 20 years old and entering her junior year of college where she is keeping her vision alive – to become a special education teacher. She has faced her fears of reading, learning and taking exams and recently passed the test that was required in order for her to continue her studies.

Impossible dreams come in all shapes and sizes. In fact, the dreams of most are considered impossibilities to others. We have all been thwarted from our dreams at one time or another by those who do not believe in dreams, who point to why things won’t work rather than asking “why not?” It’s not that they are bad people; it’s simply that their own dreams have been blocked.

As children, dreaming and imagining worlds and moments and ourselves as different, grander, more fun, and alive was as natural to us as breathing. Yet this was considered “child’s play,” and not taken seriously by most adults – adults whose own dreams had been hindered or ridiculed. We learned to tuck our dreams away and grow up. We learned about “the way things are”, “the way people are”, the way “life is”, and that the rest is impossible, so why bother?

Let’s take a look at this idea of “impossible” for a moment from the viewpoint of bumblebees. Did you know that aerodynamically it is simply not possible for bumblebees to fly? But have you ever tried getting a bumblebee to believe that? I don’t know if bumblebees have dreams but it is clear they have a mission that precludes the impossibility of flying. And in some ways a mission is similar to a dream.

A dream is a deep desire; a vision of what you yearn to be, do or have that expresses the deepest truth of who you are. Dreams express an inner urge for growth, an urge for the expression of unrealized aspects of your authentic self. Dreams along with passion and callings pull you forward to your purpose or mission, to realize your fullest potential and to feel deeply alive.

Your dreams come from your imagination where the creation of everything begins. YOUR dreams come from YOUR imagination. Did you get the emphasis on YOUR? Your dreams can only come from you. No one can dream them for you because your dreams are unique to you. Likewise, you can’t live someone else’s dreams and be fulfilled. Many of us have attempted to live the dreams of others or the dreams they have for us, and often we do. However, when we are not living our own dreams, there is a desperation to our lives no matter how outwardly successful we may be. When we are not living our own dreams we are not fully awake or alive.

Look at the fact that bumblebees fly even though it’s aerodynamically impossible as a metaphor for one of YOUR dreams that seems impossible. On one hand you have plenty of evidence that your dream is impossible - this could be in the form of beliefs and assumptions, research and statistics, “shoulds” and “shouldn’ts”. Certainly you have never done it before, and very possibly nobody has. On the other hand, there is the saying, “Things are not always as they appear.” What if your evidence were not the truth, not really the way things are, but rather only the way they seem or have been? What is one of your impossible dreams?

Take a deep breath and say it out loud to yourself right now before you read on? No one else will know. Now write it down, “My dream is . . .” Good!

I invite you to say “yes” to the dream you’ve just acknowledged, and to all of your dreams. When you do you are saying “yes” to your truest self. Remember dreams convey an urge to express unrealized aspects of your authentic self. When you live your dreams, you give others courage and permission to do the same. And since dreams can’t live or be achieved in a vacuum, your dreams will create opportunities for others, either directly or indirectly.

Saying “yes” to your dreams usually requires courage and compels you to step outside your comfort zone. But if you want to wake up and feel alive, to live fully and authentically, what’s the alternative? Take comfort that there is not a single authentic dream you have or will have that you do not have the ability to achieve. When you say a full-hearted “yes” to your dreams, the way will be shown and you will be given everything you need for the journey. The journey will take you home to yourself.

There is a simple formula for achieving any dream. It is as follows: Keep your dream alive and keep moving toward it.

You can keep your dream alive in several ways – here are two:

•Spend time every day envisioning your dream, in other words by imagining that it is true now:

• What does it look like; how does it sound, taste, and feel?
• Where are you? Who is with you or around you?
• What’s it like being the person who has accomplished this dream? What is the expression on your face? How do you feel? What is your posture? Are you dressed differently? What are your relationships like?

•Tell others about your dream (but only those who believe in dreams and will believe in yours).

You can keep moving toward your dream several ways - here are a few:

• Have dream conversations - ask other people what their dreams are and tell them yours.
• Act on each idea concerning your dream that you are inspired by - you will be inspired.
• Say “yes” to the opportunities that come your way – there will be plenty of them if you respond
• Ask for help - the right people will be happy to help you.
• Today, take one action, however small, in the direction of your dream.
• Take one to three actions each day that will take you closer to your dream

Remember, the journey to your dreams will take you home to yourself and to experiencing greater aliveness.

You are a natural! You are brilliant! You are magnificent! Simply by being you. Let your light shine!

How can women get their dream diamond engagement ring when it is the boyfriend making the purchase and wanting it to be a surprise? To find the answer you need to understand your man’s thought process. After all, he is shopping for a diamond, the symbol of his love for you.

The man shopping for an engagement diamond has three primary shopping priorities:

1) They want to make a good investment
2) They want to make you happy
3) They fear disappointing you or worse yet, rejection

On all three points, men act out of fear of making a mistake. Their pride and desire to surprise their girlfriend typically prohibit them from asking the woman’s advice. As men so often do, they try to apply logic to what is a very emotional decision.

Most men attack diamond shopping the same as any other problem they face. They research the subject, gather all the facts (often in a spreadsheet), and then make a logical decision. They assume you will have the same priorities they have so they focus on what will be a good investment. They seek a high quality diamond fearing that anything less will as somehow imply some lower level of love.

The man’s first stop is often the jewelry store in the closest shopping mall. They walk in the door and realize they just entered a world foreign to them. They look at rings in the display cases and see more zeros in the price tag than they have seen since they bought their car. Their heart starts pounding as they realize they have to spend thousands of dollars on a tiny little rock they know nothing about, then give it away to someone else or worse yet, face rejection.

Now their legs are shaking so they decide they need to do more research and do it in a friendlier environment. They head home, turn on the computer, and start searching online for clues on how to survive the diamond buying process. Their goal is to find a pretty ring their girlfriend will like and have a few dollars left in their pocket. They feel more comfortable with the discussions of the four C’s (color, clarity, carat weight and cut) where they can match up those letter grades with their budget to find some possible options. However, with a little knowledge comes the sinking feeling that there is a whole lot more for them to learn in order to protect themselves from making an expensive mistake. They become even more determined not to make a mistake so they spend the next weeks and months gathering ever fact and opinion they can find on diamond buying. It is almost like trying to get a drink from a fire hydrant. There is just too much to drink in.

It is at this stage of the shopping process men sometimes forget the reason they started on this adventure in the first place. They can lose sight of the fact that their primary goal is to make their girlfriend happy.

If you are a woman, by now you are probably getting the picture. However, you are asking yourself, what should I do to help ensure the diamond of my dreams and the proposal moment as romantic as I hope?

Here are some suggestions that can help make your dreams come true:

1) Do some shopping yourself so you can tell your boyfriend what shape of diamond you like best on your finger. Do not leave it up to him to guess wrong.

2) If you sense this is going to be mostly a surprise gift, drop some subtle hints about what kind of mounting (solitaire, side stones, etc.) you want for your diamond. If you do not know, hint you want something very simple so he does not make an expensive mistake.

3) If you have a strong preference for the type of metal in the ring (yellow gold, white gold, platinum), find a way to tell him.

4) If you have the type of relationship that supports it, get involved in the diamond buying process. There are more couples shopping together for the engagement ring now than ever before and the result is often higher levels of happiness and lower levels of stress.

Many couples now shop together so the boyfriend knows what shape of diamond the girlfriend likes, knows what style of mounting she likes and then he takes that knowledge to buy the ring on his own timetable and make the presentation a surprise.

The bottom line is your man is trying, to the best of his ability, to do all the right things to make you happy. You just need to be patient and try to appreciate the effort he is making on your behalf. If you would like to see this diamond gift giving repeated, then by all means tell him how proud you are of his research show him how much you love that sparkling diamond on your finger.

Should I Sell The Dream?

This is the question a group of us discussed in a live conference call today, with reps from some 35 companies participating. Some had been in the business 30 years, others less than a year...

"Should I sell the dream, when my company and upline keep telling me to do that, even though I am not making it yet? Aren't we just telling them stuff that isn't really true?"

To get to the answer, here are 3 questions we asked and answered:

1. What is the "dream" anyway? And why do they tell you to sell that?

The "dream" ranged from being $1k to $20k/mo, to "unlimited time, money and freedom" to "whatever you want, when your want" to "having a housekeeper" to "being happy."

We all decided that whatever each person on the call wanted, or whatever their prospect wanted, that the business could provide, that THAT would be their "dream."

2. So why do they tell you to sell "the dream"? Why not just sell "the business"?

Responses ranged from "How else can they get you to recruit?" to "That's how they get you to buy in" to "It takes a while to make it and keeping 'the dream' in mind will help you keep going."

3. So how do you make your dream come true?

Compare the "dream" to your favorite cookies. What is the recipe to make them, so you KNOW they'll come out right? Say 'the dream' is $3k or $10k/mo, what is the recipe to make that dream come true?

Responses ranged from "build an organization" to "sign people up" to "develop yourself and get trained" to "sell product" and "sign up reps" to "teach people".

Test questions:

1. When you get people to sign the app and pay their $19.95 or $45 sign up fee, whose dream is being made?

Uhh, well since only the company gets that, umm, maybe the company's dream is being made?

2. When you buy product every month from the company, whose dream is being made?

Well, err, the company's, and my sponsor's.

So these two things don't make YOU money, correct? :(

Neither do you make money when you are being trained - no matter who does the training. I asked people on the call:

3. Do you make money when you take my classes?

Pause...

"WHO makes money when you take my classes, you or me?"

Uhhh, You. KIM.

"Right. I make money when you take my classes. NOT you."

But I believe I show you things that CAN make you money. I can show you the recipe to make cookies.

Err...money. What's one thing the recipe requires for you to make money?

"Get regular customers who buy product or services."

Yep. And you earn a percent of what thay buy, like in all commission sales. THAT is one way to make cookies.

And what else?

"Get dealers/sales reps who buy product also, and who find other customers and reps to do the same."

Amen.

Everything else you do must be things that bring that about, and those things will depend on your personality, style and whether you have more time or money. There are MANY ways to reach out and amass customers.

Learning things, getting motivated, or getting your belief up will not help you make cookies if you don't have the recipe.

This is the same.

THE RECIPE for THE DREAM

If you know your average customer order is say, $100, and that's what you buy, and if they pay you say $15 per regular customer, then you can answer the question: what's the recipe for me to make $1.5k/mo?

100 customers doing an average of $100/mo. x $15/ea = $1,500/mo.

THAT is one recipe. Notice it's just like AOL, cable TV, Sirius and XM radio, who get their income each month from regular customers. Like them, everything you do should be focused squarely on amassing those customers. That's a dream recipe.

And what about getting dealers or reps?

Same kind of recipe.

First know that the ingredients to "make" a dealer cookie are a lot harder to come by. The % of people who want to sell stuff is very small, compared to people who are customers of stuff. Once you get past your friendly warm market (if you have them, hehe), and into cold market, it's like 1/100 who want to do commission sales long term, at least in the U.S.

So, if you want to make that recipe for part of the dream, ask yourself, based on your pay plan: how many sales reps do you need to get, buying in at what level, for you to make say $150? And if that is a one time bonus, how many do you have to bring in each month to earn your "dream"?

And then of course, how much do you earn on their sales?

Once you pick your mix of customers and reps to make your "dream income," THAT'S your dream recipe. Same for any prospect or baby you have. And you can change the mix of customers to sales reps in your dream recipe whenever youor experience tells you to adjust it.

Plus you get to choose how big your cookie will be. After all, aren't you the one making it? For yourself. You can share later, after you have something to share. :)

Everything else you do, training and motivation-wise, must be focused on HOW to do those two things in whatever mix you choose.

But first, the recipe: The number of customers and reps you want to make your cookies.

4. "Should I sell the Dream?"

We all concluded: YES. But from this day forward, only with the recipe.

Do you have a vision for yourself in one, three or five years? Dreams are the life blood of the Internet. Almost everyone dreams of quitting their job with the idea of being able to start an online business. Without dreams there would be no airplanes, no telephones, no light bulb. In today's hustle bustle society it has become an alarming fact that most don't even bother with nor have the time for dreaming any more. But we must dream in order to build our future!

Do you have a dream today? It will be of no consequence if your dream is for monetary reasons, power, a luxurious lifestyle, extended periods to spend with the family or ways to make the world a better place. Your dream is your guide to your end result. Without a dream there can be no end result.

It has been said that all successful people are huge dreamers. They can predict what their future will hold for them. They concentrate and work every day toward their vision, goal or purpose.

Conduct your thoughts everyday imagining what is possible not what should have been. Write a list of your dreams, goals and inspirations. Organize your list in priority order. Take action on your first dream. Concentrate your efforts on this dream and see it through to the end.

It could take days, weeks, months or even years before it becomes a reality. But a reality it will become if you strive for it with all your heart. When you know what you really want, you will make yourself into an opportunity magnet for the objects you would like to have. A positive attitude attracts positive results. As you think, so you will become.

Join forums that are geared towards the area of your expertise. You can learn a lot from some of the forum members. Search the Internet, bookmark some of your favorite sites, and find all that can be found about your dream position. You will be impressed at the endless worthwhile possibilities there are available online.

Don't give up until you nail down the path that makes you both pleased and pays the bills. With sufficient dreaming, you might even become the next Bill Gates or Michael Dell. Your limit of success is determined only by your imagination and willingness to climb to the top.

How do you seize courage when your whole world is collapsing around you?

You do it by picturing the opposite.

You ignore what is before you and you focus on what is within you.

When you create a dream, you must nourish it. This nourishing has to happen in good times and in bad times.

Rather than suspend your belief, suspend the value you place on what you see before you. If for example, you dream of making money in your own business but all you see around you is the harassment and poverty of your circumstances, choose to nourish the inner and take no value from the outer.

What appears around you as lack is but the outcome of your past thoughts. Your current thoughts of belief in plenty are the ground on which you will form the architecture of your abundance. The emotions that you invest in your dreams are the rain that nourishes the seeds of your desires.

It takes a strong will to think in a way that is contrary to sensible thought. Yet the reasonable person makes no progress, settling always for the obvious. Progress and the future of the world depend on the unreasonable one, who believes visions over actuality.
